Homemade Black and White Swan Couple Halloween Costume

My best friend and I wanted to a duo costume for Halloween 2011 at Ohio University. We both loved the movie  “Black Swan” and wanted to go as the Black and White Swan ballerinas for Halloween. We purchased black and white leotards and tutus, feathers, jewels, white face makeup, feathered fake eyelashes, and I had a tiara I painted black and we wore ballet flats and pantyhose we already had.

It was kind of tedious to glue the feather and jewels in the leotards and I hot glued the tutus to the leotards so they would stay on easily. I used a makeup tutorial I found on youtube for our makeup and did it myself. We got lots of attention and even won a costume contest at a local bar in Athens!
