First the hat is a bucket and a hat/umbrella that I reinforced and painted. Yes, those ridiculous hat umbrellas I got five for ten bucks on EBay.
The carousel – added some LED lights and used pipe cleaners as the poles from the carousel, skeleton ornaments, wire and a whole lot of duct tape.
The arms are PVC pipe, the hammers are foam and quilt filling wrapped in poster board and guess what, duct tape, yes duct tape was my best friend. I had to run 6.2 miles in this so I had to keep it lite. I sewed the extensions on the sleeves as well, and bam!
Took second in the costume contest out of about 6,000 people.
