Coolest Interactive Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head Costumes

This year, we chose to create Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head costumes with the added fun of making them interactive.

This is how we created the Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head Costumes:

• Make potato shapes with brown material mounted on batting (we spray mounted micro suede to it!).

• All the parts were made of felt, excluding the googly eyes which we bought.

• We added Velcro to the back of each body part, and onto the potato body itself.

Easier said than done, but definitely a show stopper costume!

I created a butt flap in the back where I stored all of my interchangeable parts – (mouth with fangs for Halloween, puffy nose, angry eyes, etc.) and Mrs. carried all her parts in a purse! This way, people can change you all day and your costume never gets old. :)
