Coolest Homemade Black Cat Costume

This homemade black cat costume I made for my granddaughter, and it was a huge hit! It was so easy and inexpensive to make.

I sewed MANY black boas on a black turtle neck shirt and also on black leggings (doing this by hand was a lot easier than with a sewing machine). She wore black panty hose under her black leggings and black ballet slippers. I purchased cat ears and a black cat tail at a local Halloween store.

I made a cat collar with ribbon, and a pink plastic heart. You could also use a real cat collar if you can find one big enough. I painted black whiskers and a black nose on her face. I would have put fake eyelashes on her, but she would not let me! You could also paint her fingernails black too.

This homemade black cat costume turned out great, people all around loved it! Also, it was cold outside, and she really stayed warm trick or treating.
