This Parrot Infant Costume was amazingly easy! I needed something that wouldn’t be too hot for South Florida. I bought a plain, white, long sleeve onesie and died it red. Then using blue, yellow and red felt, I cut out the wings and tail shapes. The wings are two sided (one blue, 2 yellow and 2 red pieces). Then I tacked the wings on and sewed the tail in one line across the top.
For the bird feet I made a large triangle and wrapped it around a shoe. Then cropped the top and sewed the ends together. I also added a strap across the bottom to keep them from sliding around. If it got chilly I put on brown “baby legs”.
Finish your parrot off with some cool face paint and “fohawk” and that’s it! His older brother was a pirate so they were perfect together!
