Skirt: Tulle (cut into 3-5″ width strips) attached to an elastic band using two different shades of pink.
Top: I found a pink romper at Walmart for $3 on clearance and cut off the top to make my tube top.
Black belt, black leggings and black shoes I already had on hand.
Wings: I had some black leg warmers on hand that I attached pink wing shaped fabric to and glued pink feathers to the edges of the wings so that when I spread my arms out, it looks like a flamingo with her wings spread.
Mask: (the coolest part of the Flamingo Yard Art costume!!): I purchased a mardi gras mask from a craft store, then made a paper mache beak and painted it black. I glued the beak to the mask and then glued on several pink feathers to complete it.
A friend and I went as yard art (a flamingo and a lawn gnome). It was a real hit!!
