A nice heaping bowl of spaghetti and meatballs complete with bread and butter and a Parmesan cheese trick or treat bag.
I started this Spaghetti and Meatballs Costume with a round black solid basket from the dollar store, using a roto zip I carefully cut out a circle from the bottom of the basket. I then drilled four holes in the bottom of the basket for the shoulder straps to be added on later. Then choosing a nice red and white checkered fabric I wrapped the basket hot gluing it down all around. I added a little red ribbon trim just for looks. I then took a large piece of red felt and with it double folded cut out a large circle bigger around then the basket its self. I then cut out another circle in the center. I sewed all the seams around with the machine, leaving a ¼ inch gap so I was about to turn it inside out for that finished look. I then generously stuffed it with pillow stuffing and sewed closed. The red felt was then hot glues to the inside of the basket just below the lip.
Red and tan yard was cut in varying lengths and then draped, dropped and placed all over the top, gluing every where possible. I found a 6 pack of Styrofoam balls at the dollar store which I first started by painting a dark brown with a brush, once it was dry I sponges on light brown and a mixture of red and black in some spots to give a realist look.
The bread and butter made a great touch, was constructed with two pieces of felt for the bread stuffed and one piece of yellow felt for the butter. I machine sewed a nice ribbon trimmed hat for her head.
For the trick or treat bag I started by making a simple bag pattern I copied from a bag we had laying around the house, I cut out the letters and the logo to make the craft design, and using iron on paper I duplicated the other words which I then ironed on.
I braided yard together and inserted into the holes in the bottom of the bucket tying knots on the out side to keep them in place.
