My daughter has a 4 month old puppy named Miles and not wanting to exclude him in the Halloween fun but with time running out, I made him a simple Homemade Bat Dog Costume. This costume took about 20 minutes to make and cost about one dollar.
Using pipe insulation cut into strips I made a simple harness that Velcros onto the dog. I formed a collar around the neck, a strip around the chest and a small piece attaching the two rings along the back.
I drew bat wings onto craft foam and cut them out. Next I glued small strips of pipe insulation in and around the edges of the wings to form detail. I then glued this to the harness.
I made the head piece with fun fur which I hot glued at the seams, instead of sewing. I used Velcro as a fastener under the dog’s chin. I made the ears and hot glued them on. I painted everything with black acrylic paint to cover the white edges of the hot glue. We think Miles is a very cute bat!
i love how quick and easy it is and hi is very cute

A step up from Milo’s mask if you ask me!
