I was 7 months pregnant, and had a grand idea for a unique Halloween costume. I decided to paint my belly as a watermelon. Then I found some vines and sprayed hot pink streaks in my hair. Everyone thought it was a shirt until they touched it!
It took a little bit of time to do that morning, but this won me the costume contest at work. When asked what I was, I said, “Remember how when you were little your mother told you not to swallow the watermelon seeds … well, then I pointed at my belly.”
This Homemade Pregnant Watermelon Costume was a hit and pretty easy, although time consuming to maneuver and paint it myself. You could get someone to help. I can remember I got a boot put on my car that day and had to go pay my parking tickets dressed like that. It was fun.
