My daughter wanted a Zombie costume for Halloween and since this was the first year that she didn’t want something cute I had to do something cool. We went to Goodwill and bought an outfit we wouldn’t be concerned with staining up. Since it gets cold here we went with a hoodie but you can use anything appropriate to your location. We used spray blood all over it, both front and back.
For her makeup we made bite wounds from liquid latex and toilet paper. White crème makeup serve as the base for everything and an injury stack provided the makeup for the wounds. A large makeup kit my daughter got for Christmas was all we needed for the sunken eyes and bruising. We use the fake blood that you can buy in stores at first but once it dried, it started flaking off so I found a recipe to make blood using Corn syrup, chocolate syrup, water, and red food coloring. It worked like a charm and once it dried it didn’t flake off. Added bonus was in the fact that you can out it around the mouth an in the mouth and it tastes good so kids don’t mind it and it’s non toxic!!
