My two boys, age 10 and 11 wanted to do something fun for their Halloween Banquet with a scout troop. We decided to do the head on a silver platter but go one step further to add the gross waiter also. They got rave reviews and it cost about 10 bucks total.
We hot glued old barbie doll pieces and a bloody spoon to the vest. We also added fake blood and covered a large bowl with foil to put over my son’s head and then the waiter would say “dinner is served” and take the top off… everyone would scream…very fun!
The waiter outfit is old pants, an old white shirt, and a real waiter vest we got at goodwill. The blood is just red paint. Hot glue is great for gluing items to the vest.
The table is a box with a hole cute, a dollar store tablecloth, a plastic silver platter with a hole cut out. Make sure you duct tape the inside edges as it can be sharp. Also, put some material around the head to cover the hole and also prevent the tray from rubbing against the neck.
The fruit and fake bugs were hot glued and they came from the dollar store. A fake champagne glass was used with blood in it. We also had a few worms, bloody cracker, etc. on the tray.
I recommend the smallest box possible for this homemade costume so you can sit down at a party. Just use a longer tablecloth so your legs don’t show too much.
This is exactly what my boys are wanting to do. Would you be interested in selling?
