When you are a teen its hard to buy ready made costumes because you are to big for the children’s costumes and too small for the adults costumes. Some stores do teen or tween costumes but we did not want to spend £40 on a Halloween costume that might not be worn again.
We were in our local Wilkinson and noticed that they had a teen range of costumes but were disappointed as I wanted to be different and witches, vampires and dark fairies are so popular. I loved the dress for the dark fairy the top was a corset design with a rag skirt but it had wings attached. We decided to buy the costume anyway and were thrilled to discover that the wings could be detached. It was only £10!
My brain pondered over what to dress up as, I searched for inspiration on-line coming across a lovely rag doll costume similar to the teen Lolita costume I loved. I decided I wanted to be an evil rag doll so we traveled to a wool shop and bought some blue and black wool.
We twisted the wool around my hair that was in bunches creating wool extensions that matched the dress. I also got some fake tattoos from Claire’s accessories and some lace gloves from prim-ark to add affect. I did my eye-shadow up to my eye brows and very doll like make-up. I used fishnet tights and long black socks and wore school shoes.
