Coolest Jack and Sally Costumes

For the boy’s costume, I couldn’t find a pin striped suit in his size so I bought a “Beetlejuice” adult costume and hemmed the pants and sleeves. I attached a rubber black bat to his neck as a bowtie, pinned a Jack button that I bought at Hot Topic to the center, and painted his face accordingly. White hair color was added to his hair since we could not make him bald.

For the girl’s costume, at the time, a Sally costume was not available in a little girls size 5 so I bought the baby version, stretched it, opened the back and sewed more material. She wore striped, long socks and I painted her face accordingly. The wig did not look very good so an easier solution for her hair was to style it straight and parted down the center. Then I sprayed orange-red hairspray liberally throughout her hair. I ran a fine toothed comb through it to spread the color evenly. I also found that the spray added the stringy appearance/texture which was great.

White fingerless gloves with black stitching worked well throughout the school day and completed these Jack and Sally Costumes.
