My Homemade Jessie from Toy Story Costume was made by a few designer friends at work. We made a cardboard box and cut out a piece at the front and put some clear plastic so it looked like I was a doll in a box waiting to be sold. We made sure there was a drinking hole for a straw to go through so I could drink through it but eating it had to come off.
The Designers at my work took some Toy Story characters and recreated the look of a character in a box and printed and we mounted to board. I then went to a local material shop and got some felt and cut out and then used a red felt pen to make it look like it had been stitched. I brought a wig from a local fancy dress shop to go with the outfit and wore a white shirt and jeans. I got a bangle and covered it in felt and got some string and tied it to the back of the box so it looked like a pull string for me to speak.
Everyone loved the outfit and was really impressed and wanted photos to show their friends. Now what I am going to do next year I don’t know that will beat it.
