This Homemade Colonel Sanders Costume was made for our 6 year old daughter. It just came to us one day as we were driving by a KFC. The costume itself was easy. We bought a white suit at a thrift store. The tie is just a piece of ribbon bought at a textile store. We had a hard time finding a white wig. We finally found what I think was a Mark Twain wig at a costume shop.
The mustache, beard, and eyebrows were cut from a piece of furry cloth also purchased at the textile store. The cane was a full size walking stick that was cut down to fit her size. I think the thing that really made the costume special was the bucket of chicken. The bucket, of course, was given to us at the local KFC. The chicken pieces were made from fake bones from the Halloween store which were then wrapped on one end with a brown cloth and tied with pipe cleaners.
We hope you enjoy.
She looks fantastic. Great costume!
