Creative DIY Oompa Loompa Costume for a Man

In my circle of friends, Halloween is a big deal. I used to hate dressing up until I met this group of friends and now they expect me to come up with the most creative costume each year.

This year I decided to create an authentic Homemade Oompa Loompa Costume from the classic movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” The overalls are made from fleece that be purchased at any crafts store or Wal-Mart and a brown turtleneck shirt that has been modified with the neck and sleeves to have white stripes. I wore brown shoes but on top of them was a homemade bow using brown and white yarn and they were tied to the top of the shoe. I used orange cream makeup and white for the eyebrows. I spray painted my hair green with washable paint. Finally, I wore white cotton gloves and completed the detail with white socks that had painted brown stripes and of course the giant lollipop.

This was definitely my most fun costume and thought I’d share after running across this site.
