I decided to make this Chewbacca Costume for my husband for Halloween after seeing the price it was to buy it. I gave myself a $25.00 budget for the two of us. I went as Princess Leia Slave Princess. I bought yak hair at the local beauty supply that was $1.27 for a long pony-tail dyed it with craft store paint and glued gunned it to a jogging suit.
I bought a piece of remnant vinyl for the sash and spray painted small jewelry gift boxes silver. I glue gunned the hair to a mask I bought at the dollar store. When I was all said and done both our costumes were within the $25.00 budget. I have to say I was pretty proud of the final product.
