Original Homemade Yoda Costume

The charm of this Homemade Yoda Costume was entirely due to the size of the child. My son was almost 2 and he was just the height and had the perfect waddle of Yoda. The costume was just a simple burlap cloak, a wooden staff, ears constructed onto a homemade skullcap (some strands of horse hair were threaded into the cloth for some thinning Yoda hair) and the carefully applied makeup job was done c.a.r.e.f.u.l.l.y… while my son was taking a nap.

When he woke up we tried to keep him away from mirrors in hopes he would not smudge his makeup. I did get some video of him toddling up to a door trick or treating but I’ll have to look aroud for that old file. This picture was taken just as he woke up from that nap.
