My costume is of an old lady with a door who hands out candy to all the “cute trick-or-treaters” who knock on her door. This old lady giving out candy costume took about a week to construct, and withstood many material changes. The door is completely handmade out of foam board and wooden frame. It’s also fully functioning, including; hinges, a door handle, a knocker, and a mail slot. After completion, I took it around my dorm knocking on their door, then standing behind mine, waiting for the resident to “trick-or-treat”.
I got this idea from the website MLIA, where one person said “I grew up in a college town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we opened the door expecting to see trickortreaters; but what was in front of our open door, was another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said “Please knock”, so we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of college dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, etc, who proceeded to coo over our costumes; and tell us we were “such cute trick or treaters!”. One even pinched my cheek. Then THEY gave US candy, closed their door, picked it up and walked to the next house. MLIA”
wow! such an awesome idea, looks like you put a lot of hard work and effort into it :D SUPER CUTE
That is seriously one of the most original ideas I’ve ever seen! Awesome!!
Old people costumes are offensive.
