Coolest Homemade Construction Costume

This homemade construction costume was a fun project to take on. The Loader actually scoops! Everything was found in my basement except for the paint for a total cost of $15!

The Loader and Digger buckets are diaper boxes. The main body is a mosquito zapper box and the upper part is an amazon box. Cardboard tubes make the arms with a wooden dowel running through another tube across the box. This is how the bucket pivots. The loader handles are 5-gal paint sticks with a dowel connecting them to form the handle. I took the logos off the Volvo site and printed a blown up version to paint the arms, grill and front panel. Four colors of paint are Highway yellow, metallic silver and black and white.
