Coolest Homemade Traffic Cone Child Halloween Costume

For this homemade traffic cone child Halloween costume I placed an empty water bottle on my daughter’s head. When she leaned over I put her hair around it and secured it with a pony tail holder. When she stood back up her hair was straight up with the water bottle under it. Then I hair-sprayed it with orange hairspray.

I sewed a tank top dress out of orange fabric. For the bottom of the cone, I cut out a circle out of two pieces of cardboard. I duct taped the cardboard pieces together and then covered them with orange fabric and a hot glue gun. I then cut tabs in the tank top dress and hot glued the tabs onto the bottom of the fabric covered cardboard.

I cut images of STOP and SLOW signs out of paper and pasted them to hoop earrings that faced front. On the back of the earrings, I glued Men At Work and Flag Men illustrated construction signs. Everyone at school, Halloween party and trick or treating really were impressed with this homemade traffic cone child Halloween costume!
