I got the idea of Aladdin riding on a magic carpet illusion costume after watching a tik tok that my girlfriend showed me and thinking that I could do it better. I wrote down a plan of how I was going to do this.
I have an electric longboard and I knew that would be a perfect way to give the illusion of a magic carpet. I went to Lowe’s and got PVC piping for the frame along with 2 metal sheets that I was planning on bending to mount the frame to the board. I then went to Walmart to pick out purple fabric from the fabric aisle.
After that, I went to the party aisle and picked out gold fringe that would go on the edges of the frame. Once I got back I made the frame and put the carpet over top of it. I then cut slits into the carpet and put zips ties through them so that the fabric would stay still.
Once that the fabric was tight I glued the gold fringe over the slit marks to hide them. To mount the frame to the board I drilled 2 holes through the metal and bent it into an S shape. I then used the screws from the trucks of my longboard to hold the mounts in place. I poped the frame into place and the magic carpet was complete. I then went on eBay and picked up the Aladdin costume.
Once the Aladdin riding on a magic carpet illusion costume all complete I went out and rode around on Halloween and every person I saw pulled their phone out and took pictures and videos of me. It was awesome seeing people smile and that made me feel so good. I was glad I put so much energy into making this cool Aladdin riding on a magic carpet illusion costume.
