We had a very last minute Halloween costume contest a work a few years back so I threw together this Ursula costume the evening before with random things I had lying around the house. It took me a few hours to pull together but I was pleasantly surprised with the end result. I even ended up winning 1st place in the costume contest ;)
The dress I had in my closet already and I wore my daughter’s purple shirt underneath. I stuffed old pairs of pantyhose with some polyester fill that I had from a previous craft project then cut out purple fabric and drew on the tentacle pattern. I attached the tentacles to a black belt that I wore around my waist. I made a shell necklace out of a random shell that was in my bathroom by hot gluing it to a necklace which I already owned, painted my face and voila!
