I work at a summer camp and all the lifeguards always decide to dress up something fun to entertain the kids. This time we wanted to do superheros but we never want to spend more than $10. We already had black shorts and black tank tops. We used cardboard to make a superhero sign that we taped to our chest, bought fabric to make a cape and mask, and found some funky socks. We also bought a pair of men’s white underwear. We used fabric markers and paint to decorate everything to make it bright and fun. We wrote LIFEGUARD on our butts.
Everything was extremely simple to make and so much fun. We called ourselves super lifeguards, but you can write whatever you want on your cape, underwear and chest piece! All the kids wanted our props to take home as souvenirs. All of our camp counselors enjoy seeing what the lifeguards can come up with.
