My son wanted to be Cousin It this year. I started looking for hair i found hair at 79 cent a package at a beauty supply house. I bought 28 packages. Then I got a yard of black fabric, black glasses, and a black derby hat which I found at a costume store. I first took the black cloth and made a 48 inch pillow case long, then I took the one package of hair and sew on top of pillow case and did that twenty times around it was full and heavy so we got a pair of supenders to hold it up. Then we took eight packages of hair and hand sew the hair all around the hat. So the costume has two parts. We also recorded the voice of Cousin It and he wore this under the costume. My son had a blast leaving hair trails throughout the day.
I love that the first costume that I loved enough to click open was made by someone in my hometown! Great job with the costume.
