Ohh yeeahhh! Behold the koolest Halloween costume ever built, Kool Aid Man! I initially looked online to buy one but I couldn’t find it anywhere. So I had to resort to Plan B, build it. So here you have it. Here’s how I made it.
Materials used:
- Hula Hoops
- Cardboard
- zip ties
- tape
- foam spray
- joint compound
- red & white paint
- wire mesh
- plastic jug
- LEDs
- Red long sleeve shirt
- red sweat pants
- red socks, and red gloves
The hardest part of the costume is to shape it to your body height and size. I knew I couldn’t simply make holes in Kool Aid’s mans face so I had to make sure my head was just high enough for me to peek out from the top. To disguise my head, I came up with ice cubes which were made out of a few boxes. I cut a hole and placed wire mesh so I can’t paint over it. The clothes I bought on Amazon. In total, I think I spent a little over $100. There’s a bunch of stuff that I bought that I didn’t return so I’ll be heading to the hardware store soon to return it.

Is joint compound dry wall?
What did you use it on, the body of the costume?
