After selling antiques for years, Aunt Jemima has always been a favorite to collect. I decided to bring her back to life as a Halloween costume. I went to the local Goodwill and found an old skirt and shirt. I had an apron.with some cutting and hot glue, I had the perfect skirt. All I would need was paint and hair color. Although I am naturally a little round, I decided I needed more. All I had was a roll of quilt batting. I wrapped it around my body and it was perfect. Many friends and neighbors didn’t even know who I was. I had people asking me to show them my legs because even my hands and feet were painted. I won 2 costume contests and everyone wanted their picture with me my husband was worried that the reaction would be negative but was he ever wrong . It was my best costume ever.
