My nephew decided that he wanted to be Sackboy, the adorable Playstation creation.
I started with an upside down laundry basket, and an extra large cable knit sweater from the local Goodwill store. Next came a lot, and I mean a lot of burning hot glue. The new hot glue gun I bought had a low and high setting. I was unaware that my old glue gun was a low temperature style. After some swearing when that glue hit my fingers a couple of times, I poured a cold glass of water to have waiting near by.
The eyes were created with plastic Christmas ornaments covered in black fabric. More hot glue and a bit more. The mouth shape was cut into the laundry basket and filled with black felt.
Red felt made the tongue. Could he really see out of it? No. Luckily for me, I was chosen to go trick-or-treating with him. My job, the official head holder of Sack boy. He was going pretty fast, out in the Autumn crisp night. I said, slow down, we have two hours.
