Ash and Linda Costumes from the Evil Dead

Here’s how we created our look:

Ash

We went with a design that mirrored Evil Dead 2. The Chainsaw was made using a chainsaw prop from Spirit Halloween. I removed the back handle and cut a hole for a metal plumbing cuff and then used metal fixings and screws to attach the cuff to the chainsaw. I then crafted an upper handle to match Ash’s chainsaw using metal brackets, wood, and screws. The chainsaw was then hand painted to mirror the design in the film. The shirt and pants were cut up and painted with mud and paint to mirror the design in the film. The chest harness was purchased online and then modified to match Ash’s look in the film.

Linda

We went with a design that mirrored the first Evil Dead film. The makeup was applied with liquid latex and cream makeup. The eyes are all white Walking Dead contacts, and the nightgown and necklace were purchased online. The wig was the finishing touch.
