My son wanted an Audrey II costume from Little Shop of Horrors.
Everyone loved his costume! We made the Audrey II costume so that people could throw the candy right into his mouth, which they loved! Instead of saying trick or treat, he said FEED ME SEYMOUR the whole time! Everyone loved it.
We made the head out of paper mache using a fitness ball and cardboard (see picture) and foam pipe insulation for the lips. We did 3 layers of paper mache. We painted the head and hot glued on the leaves onto the back of the head. We cut out a hole in the bottom so my son could get it over his head and shoulders. We put a piece of memory foam inside for the top of my son’s head to make it comfortable. We made the teeth out of wood dowel rods. Cut them, roughed them up, painted them and hot glued them on. We covered memory foam with fabric to make the tongue and supported it inside with pipe insulation pieces we had left.
We bought a plastic pot and cut out the bottom of it. We used folded duck tape to make straps and taped and hot glued them to the bottom insides of the pot. We took a cardboard ring and hot glued it to the inside top of the pot. Then we glued vines dangling down to the cardboard and covered the cardboard with moss.
The Audrey II costume came out pretty light and my son said it is easy to wear and walk in. We got a video of him dancing in it and it is so cool! It was a big hit! Everyone has loved it so far!
