I got the idea of this Edward Scissorhands costume about 3 years ago from watching the movie. I’m a big fan of Tim Burton and found the costume to be very unique. Bought a whole bunch of belts which I glued to leather pants and the jacket from the thrift store. I just looked online at the pictures and pretty much tried to copy it as much as I could.
I also used some dog collars that I placed around my neck and around my hips. It took me about 3 weeks to complete. I wore it to a party and got many compliments. I also wore it the day of Halloween and many people asked me to take pictures with them. It looks so much better in person than it does in pictures.
The Scissorhand gloves I didn’t make, I just bought those. I spend about a total of $80. It was a lot of work but well worth it because I love Halloween and I try to get really creative.
