We got the idea from the Justin Timberlake/Lady Gaga skit on SNL called Liquorville. We bought a beer bottle costume and cartoon character hands from a Halloween costume store for him. I found a cheap light beige colored mini-skirt and top from a resale shop and wore with beige tights. I bought decorative plastic grapes from Michaels and pinned them around my waist and neckline/cleavage. I bought the large plastic wine glasses from Party City. For the cork top, I used white poster board and bought craft cork from Michaels. I cut a square box for my face in the poster board and glued the cork to it using tacky craft glue. I used a twirled silver pipe cleaner for the corkscrew.
We go to the same adult Halloween party every year in our neighborhood and everyone is always trying to outdo each other. We got a lot of compliments on how clever the costume was. Only one other couple actually recognized it as the JT/Lady Gaga skit on SNL. Everyone else just thought we were Beer and Wine.
This was our all time favorite couples costume that my husband and I have worn together and we have been together for 24 years and been to many Halloween costume parties.
