I love shopping at our local second hand stores for items I need! I can usually find everything I’m looking for. This is were I found all the clothing for our costumes including yellow shirt/purple pants for Ferb (just had to hot-glue on finishing touches on the shirt), striped shirt for Phineas and skirt/shirt for Candace. Even found an orange karate belt for .60 cents that I cut up and glued onto the Candace skirt.
Masks were shaped from a large roll of white craft foam. Worked perfectly just had to paint a skin tone on it and added the eyes from half of a plastic Christmas ornament. Lucky for me craft stores are already selling Christmas item. More craft foam for hair and all brought together with hot glue.
We were able to use our costumes on 3 occasions this year, our city’s Halloween celebration, our school’s Trunk or Treat and Halloween. Costumes were a big hit at all the events. Kids and adults loved stopping to take pictures of the cast and EVERYONE loved Perry the Platypus (dog). We walked away with the Best Car prize for our school’s Trunk or Treat.
Love these costumes, especially Phineas & Ferb. Well done! Would you be willing to share any details about how you made the Phineas and Ferb heads – i.e., dimensions, paint color, etc.?
