Coolest Homemade Mr. Clean Costume

This homemade Mr. Clean costume was probably the easiest costume I’ve ever done.

I bought some cheap, white painter’s pants at Walmart, and purchased a white belt. I also wore some all-white shoes and a new white t-shirt. I highly recommend a brand new white t-shirt. After all, he is Mr. Clean.

I had been shaving my head for a few months, so that was an easy aspect to complete. I assume most people who would attempt this would already have that hair-style anyway.

For the eyebrows, I bought some white face paint. I put on about 5 layers for each eyebrow. The first 2 or 3 layers don’t cover up much, but then again, I’m a little thick in the eyebrow department (your results may vary). After each layer application, wait a few minutes for the paint to dry so you’re not smudging the same paint. Be very delicate so as not to smudge previous layers. By the third time I applied the eyebrow makeup start-to-finish, I was an expert.

The earring was probably the hardest part, as I do not have my ears pierced. I could not find a gold clip-on earring in the right size. I eventually purchased some regular gold earrings, about 3/4″ in diameter. I used some sponge material to create a spacer between the back of my earlobe and one of the ends of the earring. By cutting the sponge at the right size, enough pressure could be created to hold the earring in place for long periods of time, even with swift movement, with virtually no pain. And no hole in my ear!

A simple, cost-effective costume with good results. Most people recognized it almost instantly.
