I saw this gumball machine costume here and had no idea how to do it. My sister in law helped me using a skirt pattern for both parts of the costume. I recommend using the thinnest vinyl. The gumballs are balloons.

My daughter’s Homemade Gumball Machine Costume consists of a felt dress with a pool noodle at the bottom. The head is made of two disposable punch bowls held together by craft brads. A top that is a red bowl. Inside are colored pom-poms. She also handed out real gumballs for added effect.
