These Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf were the first costumes I made. I got with both the kids and asked them what they want to be. We went through a lot of costume ideas, then my husband said Little Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf. We all loved it. I went to Hobby Lobby and got the fabric for the cape and fur for the wolf.
I started with the wolf first. I got hat, pants, and shirt from the boy’s room so I could use them to trace. I used card board for the Wolfe’s ears and used hot glue gun to glue the fur to the card board. Then I just started to sew. I really had know clue what I was doing, was every proud of myself how it came out. I should have made the legs longer.
When I started the girls I went to my room, found an old vest of mine, went to the girl’s room and looked for the red skirt (cheer leading shirt) and white top. I removed the zipper off the vest and add holes for the ribbon. Took it in so it would fit her. Now the tape was a pain it the bum. I took and old hood off a coat and traced it. I sewed every thing together, then I weaved string around the hood so it would tie. I took an old t-shirt to make the apron.
