Cool DIY Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation Look-A-Like Costume

Whew, where do I start with describing this Janet Jackson costume? I could not find a jacket for starters, so I decided to go thrifting and BINGO I found the perfect jacket. I started by finding the logo online and printing it out in different sizes and cut it (for my hat, earring, jacket, and mask). I then traced each logo and cut it out AGAIN on a silver cake board.

Then, I cut out the other designs on the jacket by looking at them and free-styling the design by hand OMG!!! I used gorilla glue and small stitches to hold the objects in place on the jacket.

Making the Janet Jackson costume was very time consuming and detailed for me to try to get this jacket exactly like Janet. I already had some black jeans, a belt and boots so I used those to complete the outfit.
