Cool Handmade Alien from Mars Costume

This Alien costume was inspired by the Tim Burton film, Mars Attacks! I Hand made this costume from the ground up using predominantly paper mache. I also work with reused, repurposed, and found materials, so anything that isn’t paper mache, is a whole lot of scrapping and dumpster diving. The only items that I bought for full price are the two capes that were rigged into my cloak, and my green morph suit.

I spent around 35 dollars and countless hours of work. I have a great time showcasing my costumes during the week of Halloween, and, as usual, the response I received from the public was fantastic. I love when people ask where I “bought” my costume, and then seeing their shock and awe when I inform them that it’s hand made.

I have made some killer creations in the past, but this was the most challenging, and I am very happy with the results.
