Cool Homemade Weeping Angel Costume

It’s been my dream to create the weeping angel costume. And finally decided to do it here. I started off hand stitching the dress and spraying it gray and black. I added streaks of black and white acrylic to push the highlights and aging.

I then went into making the wig. I used fabric tape to “sew” a hairline down the middle of cut up yarn. I styled it on a fake head with hot glue. I then painted with the same acrylic paint.

For the wings I made the frame out of wood and 16 gauge wire. I cut up Eva foam and carved into it with my dremmel. I painted it gray and went back in and added shadows and highlights. I added straps to the wooden frame with a staple gun.
