Making costumes is a love-hate relationship! I love how much my daughter enjoys and truly appreciates the costumes but I hate the trial and error that comes with the hard ones. Sometimes I wish I had the training to do it right the first time. This year was that year for the hardest costume. The headpiece for Ahsoka Tano was grueling and almost started a house fire, safety first people! But the outcome was better than expected and my daughter was so proud to be her favorite Star Wars Clone Wars character.
Some of the materials used for the headpiece:
- Wire frame
- Spray Foam
- Duct Tape
- Spray Paint
- Beads found laying around
Some of the materials used for the outfit:
- Adult razor back tank top turned around backwards for dress, cut and modified to fit
- Adult red belt and cut up suspenders for the hardware to piece belt together
- Purple felt
- Fake leather and gold brads for gloves
Overall this turned out amazing! The headpiece and belt are my daughter’s favorites. She puts them on all the time and that makes all the hard work worth it.
Is there a tutorial for the headpiece?
