Cool Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas Group Halloween Costume

Every year for the past 4 years our group dresses up for trick r treating with our kiddos. Over the last 3 years we have been an 80’s group, the Globe Trotters and Refs and Care Bears.  This year we picked Willy Wonka & Oompa Loompas group Halloween costume.  We prefer to make our own costumes rather than buying them.

We made our pants with white felt.  We bought brown and white striped material to make the socks (which were more like a leg warmers), we then attached the same material to our brown turtle necks at the throat and on the wrists.  The pom-poms on our shoes were made using brown and white yarn and then tied on.

Needless to say, once again this year we were the hit in our town.  We look forward to dressing up every year, I think we might be more excited than our kids lol.  Look out next year…we already have an idea in the works!
