Coolest Alice in Wonderland Family Costume

For Alice we purchased a dress online, then bought tights and a wig and I wore my old Mary Janes from high school. I bought some ribbon at a craft store and tied it around my head for the head band. For the Mad Hatter we bought the hat, then went to Goodwill for the rest. I bought a cheap orange hat and cut it in half and taped it to the hat for the hair. We bought a cheap jacket, then we bought a woman’s shirt and I cut it up, sewed the sleaves into the jacket and the front part into the jacket and my husband wore some pants from a suit. We bought some scarves and cut them up and stuck them into the pockets.

For Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum I bought yellow sweatshirts at Target, bought some white felt and cut it out and stitched it onto the sweatshirts, bought some fabric paint to write the names and bought some blue felt squares and handmade the bowties (I just googled “how to make a bowtie”), they were about .50 each. They wore red sweatpants from their previous Halloween costumes as Thing 1 and Thing 2. I found the beanie caps at a novelty store and drew big freckles on their cheeks with eye liner. I also bought some pillow stuffing from Hobby Lobby and put wads of it under their shirts to make their big bellies.

We had a blast with this Alice in Wonderland Family Costume!
