Amy Winehouse is one of the best singers of all time, so this year after her untimely death I chose to be her for Halloween. For years people have told me that I look like her, so I wanted to represent her true spirit… and I hope I did not disappoint.
I found a jet black wig that exactly matched her hair style with her very cool big bouffant. I did my makeup spot on with her signature thick black winged eyeliner and red luscious lips. My friend (who is an amazing artist) painted Amy’s exact tattoos on my arms… her pinup doll woman, horseshoe, girl, etc.
I wore a white tank-top, blue jeans, and a black push-up bra to be the casual Amy. And the best part was that I carried around a bottle of Jack Daniels that was only a quarter full and I constantly took a swig of it. When I went out Halloween weekend people seemed to be so amazed at how much I looked like her that everyone asked me for a picture.
The very talented and beautiful Amy Winehouse will always be missed… I’m glad that I resemble her and hope to somehow continue her legacy.
