Coolest Beauty and the Beast Costume

There’s actually a history behind the concept of this Beauty and the Beast costume… my wife’s favorite movie is Disney’s masterpiece “Beauty and the Beast”, and I took her to see it in the theater when it first came out (she was 14 — which was quite a few years before we were married). She is a collector of all things Beauty and the Beast ever since, and I must admit, I really love the film too.

I did my own makeup. I had a nice start on the costume because it’s my real hair, LOL. She made her dress and my cape herself. The makeup took approximately an hour to apply, with touch-ups and the like throughout the day. I think it’s kind of unique in that she didn’t wear the yellow dress from the end of the film, but rather chose the apron dress from the earlier part of the movie.

All in all, it’s a fun costume. Hopefully it captures the spirit of the film :)
