Coolest Belle from Beauty and the Beast Costume

I made this dress in this Homemade Belle from Beauty and the Beast Costume by altering a dress pattern I used for my sister’s bridesmaid’s dresses. I gathered up the skirt panels to give a fuller effect to the skirt and to get the rouching like Belle’s dress in the film. I used brocade fabric for the front panel and the off the shoulder straps to give contrast in the dress and a more expensive look to the dress unlike the cheap looking dresses you buy from costume shops. I also used a bikini wire to get the plunge at the front to make the dress look more like an adult costume. I also made the Cinderella dress in these pictures using the same principles.
