These are my babies ages three, two and one enjoying being dressed up on Halloween. They enjoy watching The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About that on TV. So I thought this was a perfect costume having the 3 boys. They are just as crazy as the Cat, Thing 1 and Thing 2.
The costumes are a shirt, sweatpants and turtlenecks with socks over their shoes to keep it as close as possible. I then bought felt and sticky foam board. I wrote and cut out all the letters from the foam. Then I stuck them to the felt and sewed the felt onto their shirts. The Cats belly is just felt sewed onto his shirt.
I then sprayed Thing 1 and Thing 2’s hair blue making it crazy and spikey! The only things not handmade were the Cat’s hat, gloves and bow. I think these costumes made it easier for them to trick or treat because everyone was loving them.
Since they are a bit shy and it was only their second time trick or treating, the attention for how great they looked helped them open up and made it easier. Hope you like them in their Homemade Cat in the Hat Crew Costume!
