For the Thing 1 & Thing 2 costume I sewed 3/4 of red knit fabric the width of their body, added white circle felt and simply wrote Thing one Thing two on it. And for the detail at the top I hand sewed it pinching the fabric together and ran the needle across inside where the fabric is scrunched.
The Cat in the Hat I used felt for both the hat and the bow, I drew out a bow stuffed stuffing and sewed around the edges, and wrapped a elastic around my neck connected with the bow. The hat sewed two red lines and one white. Drew a circle surrounding the hat and and cut out the middle part for the top and sewed! And the black suit I wore a black spaghetti strap with high waist bottoms.
