As two self-proclaimed ladies men, my friend and I decided to act in the opposite of our natural state. We literally became “Cock-Blocks”, not only in the “Cock-Blocks” Costume, but in character as well.
The items needed to complete the costume were:
– Large sheet of cedar wood
– One length of quarter-round
– Staple gun
– Spray paint
– Bristol board to create the stencils
– Suspenders
– Tights
– Long sleeve shirt
Total cost: Approximately $100 each.
From the moment we got out of the car in downtown Ottawa, the night started with a shout “OMG BEST COSTUME EVER!” and the trend continued. The only negative reviews we received all night were from the guys hitting on the scantily clad women around downtown Ottawa, where we became a complete nuisance and were the worst nightmare for intoxicated 20-something year old guys partying.
