Since my St. Bernard is too big for normal pet costumes, we tried something different. I bought a child’s size 4-6 1-piece devil costume with attached hood. I cut the back open and put it over his head, then put his feet in the leg openings. I stuffed the arms with Styrofoam so that they stuck out like arms. After that, I put the hood over his head (which took some getting used to from him). Attached behind his neck (which you can’t see in the picture) is a red cape that covers his back and the cut part of the costume.
Total cost for this Homemade Devil Dog Costume was $10 and he looks great. My kids are so glad he can come Trick or Treating with us this year.
