Being a huge fan of Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands film, I found it exciting to walk a day in Edward’s shoes.
My DIY Edward Scissorhands Halloween costume is a compilation of thrift store items: black belts (six to be exact), black leather pants, a black motorcycle jacket and a black sleeveless top with metal rings along the shoulder & neckline.
My scissorhands were made from cardboard in which I sprayed with chrome metallic spray paint from the auto department of Walmart. As for makeup, a glue stick came in handy to conceal my eyebrows and to create Edwards scars. My foundation, a very light concealer and powder and the shadowing was a combination of brown and purple tinted shadows. Also, I have blonde hair and green eyes so I used black hair spray and black out contact lenses to complete the look. I absolutely LOVED being Edward Scissorhands for Halloween!
wow, the makeup and the scars are perfect. well done and nice attention to detail
I would like to know… How long was your hair for this and how did you style it? I am doing this for Halloween this year and have long hair.
